When new the Professional Series sold for $5300. This is a top of the line beautiful unit.
History - I installed this unit in my apartment in Manhattan prior to sale in 2007. It sold in 2008 and I moved the unit to my home under construction in Westchester. There it has been sitting all this time. HARDLY used. And I really mean hardly as the unit was installed only to make the kitchen look great for sale. The house is still under construction and the unit is still sitting there unused.
Other note, I was notified Thermador initiated a recall on the insulated fire blanket that covers the top of this model. The unit is under FULL Recall Warranty. Thermador will send an authorized Thermador technician to you to install a new insulated blanket and check whatever. I did remove the blanket not to have a hassle with any potential problems if the new owner fails to call Thermador.
All in all its great to have it under Recall Warrantee and have Thermador come to your home to fix the issue and look over the unit free of charge - piece of mind for new owner. I have the number and all the recall information. I already called them regarding the recall and procedure.
Other than that it's a GREAT opportunity to pick up a hardly used yet older top of the line Professional Series Thermador Double Wall Oven at way below what these go for. Again.. HARDLY used.
