I am a sweet lug of a guy! I have been on my own for a while and taking pretty good care of myself by wandering from here to there and always able to get a handout. During the very cold and harsh weather this winter I needed a warm and protected place to stay for a while. I noticed the rear door of a building was open and I went inside. Turns out this building was an apartment house and for a day or two I got a few handouts and sleep in the hallway. But then someone who thought I would be better off at the shelter called the local Animal Control Officer. And so here I am at the SPCA. I guess my wandering days are over and I am happy about that. After taking care of myself for a while, I think I would like someone to take care of me! Please fill out an Adoption Application if you'd like to jumpstart the adoption process. No appointment is necessary to come in and meet/adopt an animal unless noted differently above. You may also fill out an Application when you get here. We do same day adoptions. Please note, we do NOT hold animals, nor do we accept deposits in advance. Even if you have discussed coming in to meet an animal or have an approved Application with us this does not necessarily guarantee you will get that particular puppy or dog. All Cats and Kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) and come with a free 7 day Veterinarian check from a participating Vet! Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday's 1pm-4pm. Fees are as follows: A kitten 1 year and under is $150, 2 Kittens are $225, Adult cats over 1 year are $75 and Lonely Hearts Club Members/Seniors are $55.
