Cody is a loveable, adorable 9 month old black lab mix pup. He has a very friendly and warm personality who's tail is always wagging. Great with both adults and children and gets along with other dogs. Quite trainable, knows several commands including sit, stay, watch me, touch, and get busy (to pee and poo). He is curious while still cautious and loves his stuffed animals and to play fetch. A real snuggler who comes up to you after play time to take a nap with his head on your lap or shoulder!!
He has a genetic anomaly of his liver referred to as a shunt. This shunt bypasses the liver so that his blood does not go through the normal detoxifying process. There are multiple forms of shunts, Cody's shunt is one that is inoperable. Through medical management and proper diet Cody's condition and prognosis is encouraging. Please fill out an application if you'd like to jumpstart the adoption process. No appointment is necessary to come in and meet/adopt an animal unless noted differently above. Otherwise, you may come in anytime, no appointment needed to meet/adopt one of our animals! You may also fill out an application when you get here. Please note, we do NOT hold animals, nor do we accept deposits in advance. Even if you have discussed coming in to meet an animal or have an approved application with us, this does not necessarily guarantee you will get that particular puppy or dog as you must always meet the animal(s) you are interested in before being fully approved to adopt. Also note, even if approved to adopt from us, if you have a dog at home they MUST meet the dog(s) you are interested in adopting from here to ensure they get along before you can officially adopt. All Dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) and come with a free 7 day Vet check from a participating Vet! Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday's 1pm-4pm. High Kill Shelter/Southern Rescues, both Puppies and Adults are $325, All Puppies are $325 and Local Stray Adults over 1 year of age are $175. Seniors and Lonely Hearts Club members are $65.
