American Staffordshire Terrier - Apollo-blue Pitbull - Large
Three year old Apollo is one cool guy and is the big man on campus here at the shelter. He is so mellow, nothing fazes him! He's good with some dogs his own size but not small dogs. He'd be a great fit for a person or family with older kids (12+) just because he's so strong and because he likes to be mellow and would thrive in a more relaxed environment. Someone who wants an awesome, loyal, loving couch companion would be a great pal for Apollo! (He's not all couch potato though; he's a member of the SPCA Running Team!) No cats or small dogs though. Please fill out an application if you'd like to jumpstart the adoption process. No appointment is necessary to come in and meet/adopt an animal unless noted differently above. Otherwise, you may come in anytime, no appointment needed to meet/adopt one of our animals! You may also fill out an application when you get here. Please note, we do NOT hold animals, nor do we accept deposits in advance. Even if you have discussed coming in to meet an animal or have an approved application with us, this does not necessarily guarantee you will get that particular puppy or dog as you must always meet the animal(s) you are interested in before being fully approved to adopt. Also note, even if approved to adopt from us, if you have a dog at home they MUST meet the dog(s) you are interested in adopting from here to ensure they get along before you can officially adopt. All Dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) and come with a free 7 day Vet check from a participating Vet! Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday's 1pm-4pm. High Kill Shelter/Southern Rescues, both Puppies and Adults are $325, All Puppies are $325 and Local Stray Adults over 1 year of age are $175. Seniors and Lonely Hearts Club members are $65.
